Ludlow 1914
Through tons of (unfortunate) politics (not from LIDA) and a long, long daily commute, I recently completed my first show with the LIDA Project. Put on at THEATREWORKS in Colorado Springs, this show was commissioned to remember the 100th anniversary of the Ludlow Massacre, a horrific event in Colorado’s history, that, while not well publicized or taught, was the ignition for a lot of union movement back in the day.
Directed by Brian Freeland, the show took lots of blood, sweat and tears from all involved. SteeVee Dee (Steven Deidel), Scenographer, worked long and hard to try to achieve big results with little resources. It was a fantastic experience co-designing with him on this project.
